You can learn everything about making soy sauce.

And You can see the wooden barrel “Japanese KIOKE”.

Nowadays, only few craftmen can make those special barrels.

The factory tour explains you the process of making soy sauce while your observing how soybeans are steamed and wheat is roasted.

From Narita, take the express bus to Kawagoe (It takes 2 hours and 15 minutes), then 20 minutes by taxi or bus.

Tours are conducted primarily in Japanese. Japanese-language tours are held daily.
No reservation is required to participate.
For Japanese-language tours, groups under 15 people, or those without an interpreter:
Reservations can be made online.
Cancellations must also be made online.
For groups of 16 or more:
Group reservations are required.
Please contact us via the email form with your desired date / time and number of participants.
When accompanied by an interpreter
If an interpreter accompanies your group, please reserve a dedicated session regardless of group size.
Please note we may decline last-minute requests.
Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
For those requesting English guidance
Depending on the schedule, we may be able to accommodate your request. Please specify your desired date(s) (all dates if multiple) and contact us via email. English guidance is available on weekdays only.

Old storehouse zone in Kawagoe

The townscape of warehouse building still remains today in Kawagoe City.The warehouse is a fireproof building,made to prevent the fire from spreading,and this was developed as a format of townhouse in the Edo era.It retains traces of the Edo period.

Japan’s longest rose tunnel (Kawajima town)

The small diameter of the rose consisting of about 480 tsurubaras and about 60 varieties was approved as “Japan’s longest rose tunnel” with a total length of 340.5 meters.You can enjoy the rose tunnel in the middle of May.
