Fueki Syoyu Brewing Co., Ltd. is a brewer of soy sauce that has operated in Saitama Prefecture since 1789. It has stuck to traditional brewing methods and produces soy sauce by fermentation and maturation in large cedar barrels, and in 2019 opened Kinbue Syoyu Park, where visitors can experience traditional soy sauce making. In addition to touring the factory and experiencing soy sauce preparation, guests can also discover new ways to enjoy soy sauce at the park’s restaurant, which serves dishes and sweets (including soft-serve ice cream) made with soy sauce. More than 160,000 people have visited so far, boosting local tourism.
